Program Lead

Field is hiring for a Program Lead to work directly with the CEO and leadership team of one of the fastest growing healthtech companies in Africa.

The Program Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a portfolio of projects focused on enhancing the health supply chain in Nigeria and Kenya. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the successful implementation of project activities and achievement of desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage, and develop Field’s portfolio of programs that leverage and build upon Field’s technical, operational, and financial capabilities to strengthen health systems in Africa
  • Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders and project partners.
  • Coordinate with relevant industry partners, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficient utilization of grant funds.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project staff, consultants, and partners to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established targets, identify risks and challenges, and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, financial reports, and other project documentation for donors, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events related to projects, both domestically and internationally.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment that promotes learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, international development, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex, multi-country development projects, preferably in the health sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing grant-funded projects, including budgeting, financial management, and donor reporting.
  • Strong understanding of health supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop work plans, manage timelines, and track progress against goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project staff and partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace and project management software.

Location Full-time residency in Nigeria or Kenya is preferred.

Language Skills Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages spoken in Nigeria and Kenya is desirable.

Travel Requirements This position requires occasional travel within Nigeria and Kenya, as needed, to oversee project activities and engage with stakeholders.

Duration Two years, with option to extend
